Renee Bevan is of Cook Island and European descent and resides in Auckland. In 2002, she gained Bachelor of Visual Arts from The University of Auckland and since then has been included in numerous national and international exhibitions including Schmuck 2008 and Ontkend! (Jewellery Unleashed) in 2011. She is represented in the collections of The Dowse Art Museum, Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa and The Auckland War Memorial Museum. Bevan was the inaugural recipient of The Blumhardt Residency in 2017.
Sarah Walker-Holt completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts at Auckland University’s MSVA in 2010 where she received numerous prizes as well as the Fingers Graduating Students Award. In 2011, she then went on to win the New Zealand Contemporary Jewellery Award. Sarah has exhibited both nationally and internationally and was an exhibitor in The Dowse Art Museum’s traveling show, Wunderrūma: New Zealand Jewellery. In 2014-2015 she was mentored by Helen Britton as a participant of Handshake 2: Prentice and Prodigy and successively selected for Handshake 3 for 2016-2017 and Handshake 5 in 2019.
